Water Treatment Equipment

Water treatment chemistry only works when delivered through the right equipment infrastructure. Cooling Towers

ProChemTech sells and services all major cooling tower brands. We are an authorized OEM supplier of Delta Cooling Towers, which use all-plastic construction instead of galvanized metal. The corrosion-proof design eliminates the problems associated with acid cleaning and metal deterioration. Counter-flow systems allow facilities to operate at higher cycles while using less water than traditional cross-flow designs.

Delta cooling towers come with a 20-year manufacturer warranty and reduce energy consumption across the system. ProChemTech can integrate cooling towers with pump skids, heat exchangers, control panels, and sidestream filtration systems. This engineered approach delivers complete water management infrastructure for both new installations and replacement projects.

Boiler Feed and Blowdown Control Systems

ProChemTech provides fully assembled boiler control panels that automate chemical feed and blowdown management. These systems integrate chemical feed pumps, water meter controls, softeners, and monitoring equipment to maintain consistent boiler water chemistry. Automated control prevents scaling and pitting while minimizing energy, water, and chemical consumption.

Control panels include remote access and monitoring capabilities that track system performance in real time. Operators can adjust treatment parameters without being on-site. Automated blowdown regulation reduces fuel usage by retaining heat in the system longer and minimizes water waste in boiler operations.

Inclined Plate Clarifiers (Wastewater)

Inclined plate clarifiers remove suspended solids from wastewater streams before discharge or reuse. These systems handle high-flow applications while occupying minimal floor space. Industrial facilities use them to treat process wastewater contaminated with oils, metals, and other pollutants.

ProChemTech’s clarifier designs feature adjustable stainless steel and fiberglass v-notch weirs, removable fiberglass plate packs, and sludge collection hoppers. Systems scale from small installations processing 100 gallons per day to high-flow operations handling hundreds of gallons per minute. Our clarifiers work with customized treatment chemistry to achieve discharge compliance or enable water recycling.

The Importance of Custom Chemical Treatment Plans

Most water treatment companies apply the same chemistry program to every facility in a region. This one-size-fits-all approach ignores how much water conditions vary between locations. For example, ProChemTech has two clients in Erie, Pennsylvania, that are separated by just a few miles, yet each facility needs a completely different chemical formulation.

At ProChemTech, we manufacture all our own chemical formulations in-house. Most competitors source from third-party suppliers and offer only 1-2 standard solutions for boiler systems and wastewater treatment. We have 40-50 different treatment chemistries available that allow us to match the exact formulation to each facility’s water conditions and operational requirements.

Our cooling water treatment line demonstrates this custom chemistry approach. We offer three patented base formulations that can be adapted to water usage, makeup quality, and operational requirements on a client-by-client basis:

Aqua Save

Aqua Save is ProChemTech’s acid-free cooling tower treatment chemistry that increases cycles of concentration beyond standard programs. Traditional treatments use phosphonate-polymer blends with or without hazardous acid feed to control scale. Aqua Save eliminates acid entirely and often doubles the COC compared to standard chemistry.

The technology uses carboxylated phosphonate formulated with multiple organic polymers to control scale and corrosion at higher concentration levels. Regular makeup water testing allows operators to adjust blowdown conductivity and minimize water use. This approach typically reduces total program costs by 25 to 35 percent compared to standard phosphonate-polymer treatments.

Aqua Ionic

Aqua Ionic uses softened makeup water to eliminate hardness ions that cause scale formation in cooling towers. This allows facilities to operate at much higher cycles of concentration without scale risk. Cooling towers can run at COC levels of 8 to 10 instead of the typical 2 to 4 range.

The chemistry controls corrosion in soft water environments and maintains steel corrosion rates below 2 mils per year. Higher COC operation dramatically reduces water consumption and blowdown discharge. The high pH and alkalinity levels also control Legionella bacteria growth, minimizing biocide requirements.

Galva Gard

White rust is accelerated zinc corrosion that occurs on galvanized steel cooling towers when the pH rises above 8.2. Higher cycles of concentration push cooling water into alkaline ranges that destroy the protective zinc coating. Traditional solutions like acid feed create safety hazards, and standard corrosion inhibitors like phosphates actually accelerate white rust under high-pH conditions.

GalvaGard protects galvanized steel in high-pH, high-alkalinity cooling tower water without acid feed. The technology works across water types from soft to extremely hard makeup. This allows facilities to operate at higher cycles for water savings while maintaining corrosion control on galvanized components.
